Year 10’s Pack Bags to Head North

Year 10 HPE and Science students have been working hard preparing their camp to North West Island at the end of this month.

This preparation has involved developing a variety of new skills including snorkelling, camp site preparation and interpersonal group skills.

“Planning is well advanced and we have a great group of students going this year,” said Outdoor Education Coordinator Mr Mawston, “This is a unique opportunity for student to gain valuable life skills and experience the beauty of our environment”.

On the camp students participate in a number of learning experiences involving HPE and science. These include exploring the reef and marine animals as well as the unique island features.

In past years students have returned with new found independence and maturity and it is looking like this year will continue this tradition.
